  • At least 18 years old
  • A resident of South Carolina (no exceptions)
  • A registered voter in South Carolina
  • Read and write English
  • Cannot be under a court order declaring mental incompetence
  • Cannot be serving a term of imprisonment for a conviction of a crime
  • Never convicted of a felony or offense related to election laws—if there is a prior conviction, the person must have served their full sentence or received a pardon
